Over the past few days, it seems to have become a kind of sport on LinkedIn to show off the “brilliance” of AI-generated content – particularly when it comes to fake documents.
One trending favorite: AI-generated restaurant receipts – complete with logos, addresses, and of course the proud caption: “Looks pretty real, right? 😎”
That these posts openly display criminal behavior – often accompanied by a casual “Haha” instead of a sense of responsibility – is either ignored or reframed as a “creative prompt”.
No ethics. No accountability. And none of these posts are directed at OpenAI to report potential misuse. It’s all about reach.
So today I responded – not with outrage, but with action.
👉 Midday, between two coffees:
I created and submitted a whitepaper titled:
“Proposal for a Digital Clearing System to Verify Receipts – Safeguarding Against AI-Generated Tax Fraud”
-
Submitted to the German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the Ministry for Economic Affairs (BMWK)
-
Objective: 99.99% verifiability of receipts, regardless of source or format
-
No need to analyze the image medium – it doesn’t matter whether the receipt is AI-generated, scanned, photographed, or photoshopped
-
The system validates pure metadata only
-
Optional: automated interface to law enforcement, triggered if a receipt is proven non-existent
-
Targets both the submitter and the creator in cases of forgery or attempted tax evasion
👉 Afternoon, focused and intentional:
I completed and submitted a second, much more comprehensive paper:
“FTAN – A Framework for AI-Driven, Fully Automated Validation of Financial Transactions”
-
Introduction of a Financial Transaction Activity Number (FTAN)
-
Records all financial movements starting from €0.01
-
GDPR-compliant, pseudonymized, and AI-analyzable
-
Effectively addresses the issue of black money on a systemic level
-
Adds billions in tax revenue to the public budget
-
Provides massive relief for tax authorities
Also submitted to BMF and BMWK.
The growing flood of low-effort posts has turned into a surprisingly rich source of inspiration – for system-level counterproposals that actually work.
